Unclogging your life

A modern convenience we often take for granted is indoor plumbing. When everything works as it should, we don’t even give it much thought. But when a pipe gets clogged, nothing flows through it and suddenly it’s at the forefront of our mind.

As Christians, we’re called to be God’s temple where the Holy Spirit dwells. We are to be filled with his Spirit and we are to fill ourselves with the Word of God. Unless we clear the junk out of our lives, we don’t have room for the Spirit. If we don’t have the Holy Spirit and God’s Word in us, we won’t grow as Christians and we won’t be able to help others grow, either.

The Hebrew word Ruach means breath in Spirit. God wants to breathe his Spirit through you. In order for the Spirit to blow through you, your life needs to be free of obstructions. If your life is clogged with bitterness, unforgiveness, pride, lust, anger, or anything else that’s keeping you
out of the will of God, then God can’t breathe his Spirit through you.
~  Jonathan Cahn, from his message in Sapphires.

So, start unclogging your life. Anything that’s out of God’s will is stopping you from knowing the Spirit-filled life. It all starts when you get unclogged.
Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
2 Timothy 2:21 (ESV)
God bless you and I hope to see you in heaven,

Daniel
